Local police urge you to slow down while driving after three people were caught stunt driving in Perth South.
Stratford Police say these incidents happened on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
The first on Sunday at 2 p.m., involved a Porsche SUV moving 132 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone westbound on Perth Line 20 in St. Pauls.
Police located an infant and another young child in the back seat of the SUV.
A 34-year-old man from Dundas was charged with stunt driving.
On Monday at 6:32 a.m., a Toyota SUV was clocked at 134 km/h in an 80 km/h zone northbound on Road 119 across the Wildwood dam bridge in Perth South.
Yesterday at 2:49 p.m., a Kia Sedan was northbound on Perth Road 139 in Perth South travelling 50 km/h over the posted 80 km/h limit.
The SUV driver, a 39-year-old man from London, and the 16-year-old novice Sedan driver from Stratford have both been charged with stunt driving.
All three had their driver’s licenses suspended for 30 days and cars impounded for two weeks.
Officers are urging you to slow down on the road as speeding is one of the leading causes of fatal crashes in Ontario.
Stunt drivers get a minimum fine of $2,000 and their license suspended for an extra year.
