UPDATE: Winner of Oasis 50/50 raffle announced today

Someone has not only won lots of cash, but also two tickets to see Oasis.

Earlier today, Stratford Perth Humane Society announced the winning raffle ticket of their Oasis 50/50 raffle.

The raffle aimed to raise funds to help pets and people supporting veterinary care, shelter, and adoption programs.

Community Program Supervisor Cree Toner says when they closed the raffle last night, the winner at the time “took home a little over $18,000.”

“We’re so excited that it got so big,” said Toner.

Toner adds they are happy with the results and with the support they received from the community.

Along with the cash prize, the raffle winner gets two tickets to see the rock band in Toronto this Sunday.
