Golf tournament raised funds for L’Arche Stratford’s Be Belong Become capital campaign

Under sunny skies at Stratford Municipal Golf Course, 60 golfers swung the clubs in a  fundraiser last week for L’Arche Stratford’s Be Belong Become capital campaign.

More than $14,700 was raised for the $6.5 million campaign funding construction of a 15,000 sq. ft. building at 426 Britannia Street in Stratford.

Executive Director Stephanie Calma said it was a “wonderful day of fun and fellowship”, which included an after party at the Ritsma Farm, with 139 guests.

Construction has begun on the new building that will include eight affordable living suites, and increased program activity capacity.

It is scheduled to be completed by the fall of next year.

L’Arche Stratford supports 26 people in six homes with a vision to grow and welcome more people with developmental disabilities through housing and programming activities.
