Clinton Hospital’s emergency department to be temporarily closed

Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance said health human resource shortages are the reason for the closure of Clinton Public Hospital.

The emergency department will close at 8 p.m. Friday and reopen Sunday at 8 a.m., with regular hours in effect (8 a.m. until 8 p.m.)

In the meantime, you can use the emergency departments in Seaforth Community Hospital in Seaforth, Goderich’s Alexandra Marine & General Hospital, and Exeter’s South Huron Hospital.

HPHA says for the Goderich and Exeter hospitals, you should check with the emergency departments before attending to ensure they are operating with regular hours.

Call 911 for emergencies and paramedics in the area will take you to the nearest emergency department.

For non-urgent matters, contact HealthConnect Ontario at 811.
