Car afficionados driving over to Spruce Lodge next month

It’s the 10th anniversary for a popular fundraiser.

The Spruce Lodge Car Show will bring vehicle aficionados to Woodland Towers and Hamlet Estates Sept. 10 from 5-8 p.m.

Kim Luckhardt said the event was started from the ground up and it has become a staple event on the calendar, for a good cause.

Proceeds enhance activity experiences for residents at Spruce Lodge and Midland Towers.

Admission is by donation for cruisers and spectators. No preregistration is required. Local businesses have donated items for a raffle prize draw later in the evening.

There is also food available to purchase, including a BBQ. DJ Jerry Bell will provide entertainment and emcee the event.

170 cars showed up last year and Luckhardt said they are expecting more this time around.
