Foot chase leads to drug charges for Perth East woman

Quantities of cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine were seized and a woman was arrested after abandoning her e-bike and attempting to get away from police on foot.

Perth OPP caught up with the 34-year-old Perth East woman on Monday shortly after 8  p.m. They had initially attempted to stop the e-bike on Perth Road 131 for a traffic violation.

Upon arrest and through a search, other drug paraphernalia was found on her person.

Charges include three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, failing to wear a helmet on a power-assisted bicycle and failing to stop for police.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Perth OPP.
