$200K in funding available through SPCF community grants program

Stratford Perth Community Foundation announced today they’re opening the fall application window of their community grants program.

It helps charities in Stratford, St. Marys and the the county provide services for those in need, and improve the well-being of the region.

The foundation said this round of grants has over $200,000 in funding available.

Funds have a wide range of interests from seniors to children and youth, health and wellness, education, the environment, the arts, and sports and recreation.

This comes after $142,000 was invested to groups through grants and scholarships.

They say registered charities and non-profits sponsored by the Income Tax Act have until Sept. 25 at 4 p.m. to apply.

To help out applicants, the foundation is holding two virtual group info sessions on Microsoft Teams on Sept. 9 at 2:30 p.m., and Sept. 11 at 5 p.m.
