Road closures in downtown Stratford for filming of Christmas movie

A Christmas movie is being filmed in Stratford this week, resulting in some closures in the downtown.

Filming of Pining for Douglas is taking place at Market Square and along Wellington Street, which does require a temporary road closure and putting some parking spaces out of service.

This includes the southeast portion of the lower Erie parking lot, which will be closed starting Tuesday at 10 p.m., until 1 a.m. Saturday.

Some parking spaces along Wellington Street, between Downie Street and Market Place, will be closed from Wednesday to Friday, with occasional traffic interruptions.

The city added Market Place from Wellington to Downie Streets will close starting Wednesday at 6 a.m. until 1 a.m. Saturday.
