Humane Society launches new monthly program to support animals

The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth has launched a brand new program called Give Back Pack that lets you provide monthly care to animals in need.

It allows residents to choose the area of care most important to them, including medical care, food, shelter, and love to animals.

The humane society said the areas of care are dogs, cats, small animals, and animals relying on the pet pantry, a program that supplies dry and wet food, hay, bedding, cat litter, and treats.

Senior Development Officer Kathryn Ladano said enrollment helps animals get care and second chances.

Along with with no delay to medical care, the program focuses on making training and enrichment available, with members able to get stories and behind the scenes updates.

For a cat/dog sponsor, the monthly donation is $45, or $25 for a small animal sponsor, and $20 for pet pantry.
