Police investigate armed robbery at Shoppers Drug Mart

The OPP needs the public’s help to track down a suspected thief.

This is in response to an incident yesterday at the Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy on Geddes Street in Elora.

It occurred at approximately 4:00pm.

The suspect demanded narcotics from the pharmacy employee.

He was given a small quantity of pills prior to fleeing the scene.

A firearm was seen by the witnesses.

The suspect is described as a younger male in his late teens with blue eyes. He had a bandana over his face and was wearing a green winter jacket with a hood.

The male was last seen running southbound on Geddes Street away from the drugstore.

Anyone with information is asked to contact 911 immediately or Crimestoppers at 1-800-310-TIPS (8477).
