Birds of a feather light instillation has bells and whistles but no names

Destination Stratford has announced a community bird naming challenge.

There are six birds in the Birds of a Feather exhibit at the upcoming Lights On Stratford Festival, part of an interactive light art installation that showcases 6.5 to 13 feet tall internally-lit birds.

Each one features a landscape and a bird call initiated by talking, whistling, or singing.

All they need is names.

Destination Stratford Executive Director Zac Gribble said they’re thrilled to tap into the community’s creativity.

“This challenge is a fun way for residents of all ages to connect with our newest light art installation and be an active part of its creation story,” said Gribble.

Anyone who submits a name gets entered into a draw for the chance to win one of three prize packages, including two Stratford Chocolate Trails and $50 in Stratford Downtown Dollars.

You have until October 3 to submit your entry.
