North Perth residents to chime in on proposed stormwater changes

You can ask staff questions about a proposed study on North Perth’s stormwater rate at the Elma Memorial Community Centre Monday night from 6 to 8 p.m.

Conducted by Watson & Associates Economists, the study shows a proposed rate model that aims to expand the current stormwater rate in Listowel to other areas with existing stormwater infrastructure, including Atwood, Monkton, Gowanston and Trowbridge.

Renewing infrastructure and expansion has led to a rise in demand for stormwater management and a review of the funding approach is needed.

The municipality said the event will help residents learn more about the project and allow for questions and comments.

The model will be brought to council to consider at a later date.
