Campaign kickoffs start Wednesday for United Way Perth-Huron

United Way Perth-Huron’s annual fundraising campaign in St. Marys is set to start Saturday at the St. Marys Farmers Market.

St. Marys Community Committee volunteers, United Way staff and campaign co-chairs John Wolfe and Kristin Sainsbury will be at Milt Dunnell Field from 8 a.m. until noon.

The campaign goal will be announced at 10 a.m.

The local organization are also selling raffle tickets at the kickoff and dance party for a pair of preseason Toronto Maple Leafs tickets for a Sept. 23 game at Scotiabank Arena, as part of a fundraising initiative throughout the counties.

Raffle tickets are $10 each.

The St. Marys event is part of kickoff week for United Way Perth-Huron.

The mid-Huron event starts them all on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Goderich Legion Branch 109.

The Stratford event is Friday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Market Square.

The North Perth event is also Friday from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Character Square and Ward & Uptigrove parking lot in Listowel.

The Southern Huron event is Thursday, Sept. 25 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Exeter Access Centre.

The Northern Huron kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27 starting at 6 p.m. at Blyth Arena and Community Centre.
