Stratford police looking for suspicious person who offered a student a ride

Stratford police are asking for public help identifying a suspicious person, who offered a 13-year-old student a ride on the morning of Sept 2 or 3rd.

The male stopped at the school bus stop near the intersection of Orr Street and McCarthy Road. The incident occurred between 8-8:15 a.m.

The offer for a ride was declined and there was no further interaction with the unknown male, described as being of East Indian descent, middle aged, and operating a dark-coloured vehicle.

The male was believed to be alone in the vehicle at the time.

Anyone with information regarding the male is asked contact Stratford Police at 519-271-4141.

Parents are encouraged to speak to their children about the danger of accepting rides, and any other items, from strangers. Anyone who has experienced a similar incident is also encouraged to contact Stratford police.
