Police seeking information, video surveillance, after stabbing in Stratford

A victim suffered a large laceration in the back during a stabbing last Saturday in the picnic area on Ontario Street at the end of Downie Street.

Police do not have a suspect as of yet and are appealing to the public for any information about the incident. Anyone who was in the area between 2 a.m. and 2:45 a.m. are asked to contact police if anything suspicious was observed.

Businesses and residents are asked to review any video surveillance and contact police if anything of interest was observed.

The victim, also sprayed in the face by an unknown substance, was taken to Stratford General Hospital, treated and released later in the day.
