Huron OPP report fatality over the weekend in Centralia

A 36-year-old Ayr resident has died as a result of a two-motor vehicle collision on Saturday involving a tractor trailer and passenger van in Centralia.

Huron OPP were dispatched to the intersection of London Road and Huron Park Road at 5:30 a.m.

The Ayr resident was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the other passenger, a 31-year-old from Goderich, was airlifted to a trauma centre with serious, life-threatening injuries.

The intersection of London Road and Huron Park Road was closed, but has since re-opened.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no charges have been laid.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or has information, including dashcam footage is asked to contact Huron County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
