The fourth annual Sk8 Jam For Sam at All Wheels Park in Stratford Saturday will feature a skating competition for young and old in memory of Sam Beauchamp.
Beauchamp was a local skater known for creating art, supporting events, filming clips, and encouraging others.
Event organizer Brendon Whetham said Sam was diagnosed with brain cancer at a young age.
“He fought a long battle, and unfortunately passed away a couple years ago at the age of 27,” said Whetham.
“He was a big staple piece of the Stratford skateboarding community, just hyping people up, getting youth involved, and teaching all the kids.”
Whetham described Sam as an all-round great person.
The competition will include live music, food, drinks, and raffles.
Proceeds go to Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth. Whetham hopes to raise $3,500.
Registration is at noon, with competition at 1 p.m.
