A new name minus ‘Junior’ for the league

The junior B league has announced that it has started a “phased transition” to the Greater Ontario Hockey League (GOHL), essentially dropping the ‘Junior’, or ‘J’, from its name.

The league previously announced that it has become the first development league of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

The league said teams, digital platforms, and league events will adopt the new GOHL name and identity throughout the season.
