Police are reminding you about the rules of the road for e-scooters.
OPP say they are seeing a number of people, including children under the age of 16, operating the vehicles in communities.
They say municipalities can create by-laws that either allow or restrict the use of e-scooters on their roads and they add that most don’t allow them.
Generally, police say they are only allowed on private property and you’re reminded to check with your local municipality for the information.
Other requirements include that the e-scooter have two wheels, brakes, a platform for standing, a horn or bell and at least one white light on the front, one red light on the rear and reflective material on both sides.
They also must hold a maximum speed of 24-kilometres per hour.
