A local travel group’s work has been recognized with an Air Canada award.
In a get-together on Monday in Toronto, Stratford’s Blowes & Stewart Travel won the 2025 Circle of Excellence Platinum Award, Air Canada’s highest recognition to travel agencies.
The award goes to agencies that show outstanding performance, loyalty, innovation, strong commitment to delivering value to travellers, and improving their partnership with Air Canada.
Owner and travel advisor of the group Rob Blowes said they had to meet certain factors to qualify for the award.
“You have to sell a lot of Air Canada tickets, there’s a training component to it, and to maintain a pretty high standard,” said Blowes.
“With this award, we get special access, so we phone special numbers and those get picked up instantly.”
Blowes said with this award, the travel group will get help from Air Canada on any issues that might come up.
The group said on social media that only 47 agencies across Canada qualified for this award, and they’re proud to be among that group.
