Generation Rainbow Collective open house brought smiles to residents

An open house aimed at meeting new people was successful for Generation Rainbow Collective.

The group, who supports the LGBTQ+ community through engagement events, held an open house last Tuesday at the Stratford Co-Working Space on 45 Cambria Street.

Youth ambassador Toby said the goal of the event was to meet new people and get them comfortable in the space.

Youth ambassador Ollie said meeting new people is quite important.

“It helps more people feel comfortable and helps the group prosper in the community,” said Ollie.

They said the open house included pizza, colouring, cake, and video games, and it ran from 6 to 8 p.m.

They added that there was positive feedback from the event, where Ollie said a lot of people were smiling, and said good things about the group.

They encourage anyone interested in joining them to join them at the Stratford Co-Working Space.
