UPDATE: Roads re-opened following motor vehicle collision in North Perth

A motor vehicle crash in North Perth has left one person injured.

Perth County OPP said the collision took place at the intersection of Perth Road 173 and Perth Line 72, where at 8:30 p.m. Monday, the lone occupant of a motorcycle lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway.

Police, Perth County Paramedic Services, and the North Perth Fire Department responded to the incident, where they found that the driver sustained serious injuries.

The collision caused that intersection to close, but as of 11 a.m., it has been re-opened to the public.

The driver was taken to a local trauma centre, and according to officers, is in stable condition and their injuries are not life-threatening.

They ask anyone who might have seen the incident or has dash-cam footage of it to call 1-888-310-1122.
