Recent donations have been a big help to Stratford House of Blessing.
The local food bank hosted its Ride for Refuge over the weekend, bringing in $29,000, just short of their $30,000 goal.
The Thanksgiving Food Drive held late last month managed to bring in more than 5,700 pounds of food after residents dropped off items at Zehrs Markets, Food Basics and No Frills.
Staff and volunteers at House of Blessing also hosted the Hog Jog committee for a presentation of funds and food bank tour.
The race raised $49,732, with funds helping retrofit the food bank’s red delivery van into a refrigerated unit and complete a floor replacement.
