If you have time on your hands to volunteer, the City of Stratford has opportunities to give back to the community.
The city said it is looking for volunteers to ‘lend unique voices and perspectives’ to advisory committees, and to help guide decision making and provide advice and feedback to city council in areas that include environment, accessibility, active transportation, heritage and safe communities.
Advisory groups can influence local government decision-making and volunteers can learn new skills, learn how municipal government works, and make new connections.
You can fill out an application on the City of Stratford website. Deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 17.
