Kindness kits through CAS are helping a wide range of residents

A new initiative at the Huron-Perth Children’s Aid Society is tailored to the needs of a child, family or youth.

Trish Harris from the local CAS said the kits are helping a wide range of residents.

“Kindness kits provide support for families and children through the purchase of items that will help alleviate some social, or economic, recreational pressure that are there.”

Kits are tailored and include individual-specific kits, tailored for youth or family need and can include personal wellness, home wellness, starting out and connection kits.

Harris said the CAS relies on donations, which can be any amount for the kits, and vary in price from $200 to $1,000.

You can donate towards the kits at the Huron-Perth Children’s Aid Society website.
