New inductees to be honoured at Sports Wall of Fame in St. Marys

The Pyramid Recreation Centre is the venue for the second annual Sports Wall of Fame induction ceremony in St. Marys.

Included in the 2025 class of inductees to be honoured Nov. 1 are Mike Craig, Rick Fifield and the 1962-1963 St. Marys Junior B Lincolns.

The event starts at 2 p.m.

The Town of St. Marys Recreation and Leisure Advisory Committee has chosen three representatives of athletic achievement and sport development in the community.

Through 23 seasons, Craig played professional hockey in the NHL, AHL, and international leagues. Craig is a two-time World Junior Hockey gold medalist.

Multi-sport athlete Fifield served as captain and MVP for the St. Marys Lincolns 1972–1973 season, playing four seasons and amassing 405 points. In golf, he won the Ontario Father/Son championship in 1999, the Ontario Father/Daughter championship in 2001 and the Ontario Senior Better Ball championship in 2012.

The Lincolns 1962-1963 team was the first from town to be crowned OHA junior B champions and included eight local players who had competed from pee wee through junior levels.

The inaugural group of inductees includes Riley Hern, Mark Bell, Dale Levy, Ferris Stewart, Patrick Payton, and the 1988 St. Marys Creamery Juniors.

Joannah Campbell, Recreation Manager for the Town of St. Marys, said the Sports Wall of Fame is a tribute to the athletes, teams, and builders who made a lasting impact on the community’s sporting legacy.

Everyone is welcome to attend the ceremony.

Next call for Sports Wall of Fame nominations is April 2026.
