Stratford Festival announces casting lineup for Cimolino’s final season

Stratford Festival Artistic Director Antoni Cimolino has announced casting for 12 productions in 2026, a collection of some of his favourites offering, “boundless opportunity for artistic discovery.”

Cimolino said he could not be “prouder of the extraordinary artists” coming together to “create theatrical magic.”

Returning from this season for 2026 roles include Graham Abbey, Dan Chameroy, André Sills, Jessica B. Hill, Lucy Peacock and Jennifer Rider-Shaw.

A number of performers are returning to the stage after time away, including Rod Beattie, Juan Chioran, Paul Gross, Starr Domingue and Fiona Reid.

Newcomers to the Stratford stage include Vivien Endicott-Douglas, Angel Lo, Rose Napoli and Gray Powell.

“These remarkable artists, among the most promising and accomplished of our time, are joined by visionary directors and creative teams, all eager to share their artistry with you next season at the Stratford Festival,” said Cimolino.

The 2026 playbill includes The Tempest, Guys and Dolls, Something Rotten!, Waiting for Godot, Death of a Salesman, The Hobbit, The Importance of Being Earnest, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Othello, The Tao of The World, and The King James Bible Play.

Tickets go on sale to members of the Stratford Festival on Nov. 9 and to the general public on Jan. 10. The season begins April 21 and runs until Nov. 1.
