Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance recognized with provincial award

Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance (HPHA) has won an organ donation award.

HPHA said it has received the Provincial Conversion Rate Award from Ontario Health’s Trillium Gift of Life Network, which recognizes hospitals that reach or surpass a 63 percent conversion rate target.

This target represents the percentage of potential organ donors who become actual donors, with the HPHA getting a 100 percent conversion rate.

The alliance said In 2024/2025, HPHA supported one organ donor, resulting in donation of five organs for transplant, saving four lives.

Another 17 tissue donors “generously enhanced the lives of many others through their life-changing gifts.”

HPHA Vice President of Partnerships and Transformation & Chief Nursing Executive Lynanne
Mason said they’re proud of the team’s commitment to organ and tissue donation.

According to the Trillium Gift of Life Network website, the network focuses on maximizing organ donations across Ontario.

The recognition marks the fifth time the HPHA has won this award.
