Stratford is getting ready for the spooky season with a variety of events for the young and young at heart.
On Friday, Stratford Y-Youth Programs are hosting a Halloween party for ages 13 to 18 at the YMCA from 3 to 6 p.m., with a costume party, pumpkin decorating and snacks included.
Over at 315 Front Street is Halloween Fun for the Kids at the Grove, with trick-or-treating, spooky colouring pages, or an interactive photo wall inside the Peach Basket and Co from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Woodland Towers has announced they’re bringing back the Halloween Open House for the first time in six years. Residents can go trick-or-treat at the retirement residence at 639 West Gore Street from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday will also see the final weekday of this year’s Escape-It Stratford’s Haunted House, with a high scary level promised for that day.

The Skeletons of Vivian Line continues daily on Vivian Line from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. including Halloween, with the event accepting donations for Operation Smile Canada, which performs surgeries for cleft lip and palette for children in developing countries.
For theatre lovers, the Stratford Festival has Goblin:Oedipus, a performance of the classic play Oedipus Rex played by goblins. Tickets can be bought here.
The performance ends on Saturday.
Also on Friday, you can also check out include A Rusty & wEIRD Hallows’ Eve Bash at the Hall on Church, where alt-punk band wEIRD bUG will host a 90’s theme party with Rusty starting at 8:30 p.m.
Tickets are $25 plus fees in advance or $30 at the door.
