WWF legends Demolition and Jimmy Hart to appear at Stratford Comic-Con

Legendary figures of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) are bringing the smackdown to Stratford.

Organizer Pop Culture Canada said three-time WWF World Tag Team Champions Demolition and legendary manager Jimmy Hart will be part of Stratford Comic-Con on Saturday.

One half of Demolition Ax said he looks forward to seeing people at Comic-Con.

“Come on out, take some pictures and if you have anything you want signed or autographed. Bring it,” said Ax.

Ax, real-name Bill Eadie, and Randy Colley created the Demolition gimmick and debuted in the WWF in 1987, with Randy later replaced by Barry Darsow, AKA Smash.

The team’s first tag team tile run lasted 478 days, the fourth longest in company history.

Jimmy Hart, who appeared in a previous Comic-Con in Stratford, has managed many prominent wrestlers, including Honky Tonk Man, The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase, and the Hart Foundation.

Tickets are $5 online, or $10 at the door.

Comic-Con runs at the Best Western Plus The Arden Park Hotel from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature a number of vendors selling comic books, new and vintage toys, and guest appearances from artists and authors.

Star Wars characters are also set to appear.

Following Comic-Con is a Great Canadian Wrestling Event with Demolition and Hart also appearing as special guests.

Tickets are $15. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the bell ringing at 6:30 p.m.
