Pumpkin Parade will bring spooks and scares in Stratford

You’ll get to see lit-up pumpkins in Stratford right after Halloween.

Stratford’s Civic Beautification and Environmental Awareness Committee is holding the 13th Annual Pumpkin Parade at Market Square on Saturday.

MJ Thompson from the committee said they don’t pick pumpkins up anymore, as people have to bring and arrange them on their own at the square.

“We do have a drive-thru lane, and someone will be there tomorrow by noon,” said Thompson.

“Saturday is a little easier since people can come at their leisure, so we’re not crashing after work.”

She said the pumpkins will be lit-up, and presented to the public from dusk to 8 p.m.

After the event, the committee will take pumpkins to a local farm to feed the animals.

The drop-off spot is behind city hall in the marked lane.
