GOHL: Ready scores twice as Lincolns down Kings

Declan Ready scored twice in the opening period to lead St. Marys Lincolns to a 5-3 win at Komoka Kings on Saturday.

Luke McMillan also scored in the opening frame as the Lincolns jumped out to a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes.

The Kings stormed back with Parker Graham getting them on the board in the second period, followed by power play goals from Jesse Debruyn and Nash Jacobs.

Jack Clarke scored the game winner with the man advantage and James MacGregor scored the only goal of the third period for an insurance marker.

The Lincolns have won eight of their past 10 games and sit in fourth place in the Western Division while the Kings have lost three straight and are back in 9th spot.

On Friday, Listowel Cyclones were edged at home 2-1 by the Elmira Sugar Kings.

Kyle Morey scored shorthanded to open the scoring for the visitors in the first period and Ryder Roberson also scored in the opening frame.

Hudson Wiles got one back for the Cyclones on the power play in the third period.
