Arts and culture program helps artists, creators, and culture-based entrepreneurs

It’s a chance to turn your ideas into a thriving small business.

Stratford Perth Centre for Business are accepting applications for the next cohort of the Starter Company Plus – Arts & Culture Program.

The program helps artists, creators, and culture-based entrepreneurs across Stratford, St. Marys, and Perth County.

Business advisor at the centre, Holly Mortimer, said in a media release it’s an important launch pad for local creatives ready to take their work to the next level.

Applicants from creative industries including visual and performing arts, design, carpentry, food creation and tourism are encouraged to apply.

If successful, participants will receive business training, one-on-one coaching, and could be eligible for a grant of up to $5,000 to support business growth.

Applications are open until Nov. 21.

Accepted participants are required to attend five training sessions.

Mortimer said each cohort brings together “an incredible mix of artists and entrepreneurs who learn from our training sessions and from each other. The peer support and collaboration that grow from this experience are what make the program truly special.”
