Sports collectables sitting in your basement or on the wall may be worth some money.
The Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum is hosting appraisal events in St. Marys and for a $10 donation, up to three sports items can be reviewed by a Heritage Auctions expert, who will provide a verbal appraised value.
Scott Crawford, the ball hall’s director of operations, said Heritage Auctions appraised items a few years ago and plenty of people have been asking when they will be back.
A Heritage Auctions expert will be available at the Hall of Fame Tuesday night from 6-9 p.m. and on Wednesday 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The hall of fame said the expert will review almost any sports item but the person has expertise in game-worn jerseys, game-used equipment, vintage sports cards and autographed items.
