Teddy Bear Night supporting Christmas Basket Fund

A hockey team is offering a chance for you to support families in need.

Stratford Irish are hosting Teddy Bear Night during their matchup against Alvinston Killer Bees at the William Allman Memorial Arena on Saturday.

Funds go to the CJCS/Kiwanis Christmas Basket Fund.

The team encourages residents to bring a stuffed teddy bear to the game.

Broadcaster Brian Hawley said after the Stratford Irish score their first goal, or between the second and third period, you’ll get to toss your bear to the rink.

Residents can also bring monetary donations to the fund.

The puck drops at 5:30 p.m.
