Primmer in custody until next court appearance

Justin Primmer will remain in custody until his next court date.

The former Stratford resident, who now lives in Huntsville, was in Bracebridge court this morning for a bail appearance.

A publication ban covering the identity of his alleged victim and another person mentioned in court documents was ordered by the judge in the case.

Primmer was convicted in the 2003 stabbing death of Bill “Bonesy” Welch in Stratford and of savagely beating Desiree Gallagher last year in London.

He was arrested by the OPP on Wednesday in connection with an incident that happened earlier this month.

Primmer has been charged with assault and breaching probation and will appear in court in Bracebridge again on Tuesday
