Crash on 401 takes one life

One person has died after a crash on the 401 this morning.

The Oxford County OPP says the accident, involving three tractor trailers, happened in the eastbound lanes of the 401 east of Oxford Road 3.

One other person was taken to hospital was treated for injuries and was released.

The police are not releasing the name of the deceased at this time.

Keep in mind the 401 eastbound between the 403 and Drumbo Road remains closed at this time and is expected to stay closed for several more hours.

Detours are in place.
