Ten bucks back program running again to support downtown shopping

Sometimes you have to spend money to make money.

That’s according to Jamie Pritchard, GM of Downtown Stratford BIA, who are bringing back their popular Ten Bucks Back promotion through February.

Shoppers should keep their receipts from participating businesses. Once you have spent $100, you can get $10 credit at the downtown Royal Bank on Mondays to Fridays or at Destination Stratford on Saturday towards future purchases.

“It is very popular. It gives people a winter boost. Gets them out, gets them downtown and making some money,’ said Pritchard.

The initiative runs until $10,000 in total is given back or until Feb. 27, whatever comes first.

Pritchard adds the give back usually runs out long before the end date but promo dollars can be spent until April 30.

The GM said there were a net plus 12 new businesses open in downtown Stratford in 2025, so there is plenty of established and new shops to check out.
