Easter Food Drive running in St. Marys

St. Marys locals can help out their community by donating needed items for a food drive.

The Salvation Army Stratford-St. Marys Regional Community Ministries is running its Easter food drive Saturday at Foodland and Your Independent Grocer.

In an interview with MyStratfordNow, Stratford Police Service Const. Darren Fischer said police will join the fundraiser as they hold their Stuff a Cruiser food drive at Foodland.

“Fresh produce is always welcome, fresh food as well. Any non-perishable items are going to be best so they can be stored, delivered and handed out as needed,” said Fischer.

Salvation Army officials said they need juice, oatmeal, pancake mix, peanut butter and shampoo.

The fundraiser runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
