More than 16,000 chocolate easter eggs will be scattered around Upper Queens Park for an Easter egg hunt.
The CJCS/2Day FM Rhéo Thompson Candies Annual Easter Egg Hunt will begin Saturday at 10 a.m.
While those aged 12 and under get to roam the park, kids aged 5 and under will have their own special egg hunt.
“Usually by about 10:05, every single easter egg has been picked up,” said Dave Elliott, marketing executive with Vista Radio.
Non-perishable food items are being collected for the Stratford House of Blessing food bank.
“We encourage everyone to come and celebrate Easter, get some candy and give back to the community at the same time,” said Elliott.
Coffee and treats will be provided courtesy of McDonalds.
Last year, 10,000 easter eggs were scooped up by collectors and more than 170 pounds of food donations was collected.
Rhéo Thompson Candies said in a post on social media to arrive early to find parking and to get to the park.
