A busy road in Tavistock was closed early this morning after a flat bed truck hit a hydro pole.
Woodstock Street North was closed between Line 29 and Hope Street and expected to remain so until mid-afternoon Monday, to allow the pole to be safely repaired.
OPP were dispatched at 6:45 a.m. to the single vehicle collision.
No injuries were reported but the truck’s front end was off the ground and lodged onto the hydro pole, according to a police photo.
A 63-year-old Dorchester resident is charged with careless driving.
