You can donate your empties to support McDonalds charity

It’s a way to dispose of your empties and support the Ronald McDonald House.

McDonalds on Erie Street is hosting a bottle drive April 26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

General Manager Josh Durnin said his location is looking to ramp up donations ahead of McHappy Day.

“McHappy Day is May 6th this year. It’s a great charity to support,” said Durnin. “The Ronald McDonald House Charity provides shelter, meals, and support for families with sick children.”

Durnin said volunteers will be set up collecting empty cans and bottles at the restaurant parking lot and all proceeds raised will go directly to support RMHC.

Durnin added he is challenging the Ontario Street McDonalds to see who can raise the most money to support the charity.
