A community breakfast that doubles as an important fundraiser is returning to St. Marys.
St. Marys Fire Department are hosting their firefighters breakfast May 3 at the fire hall on James Street.
Traditionally held the weekend before Mother’s Day, the firefighters’ breakfast is a fundraiser for the department, with proceeds supporting Muscular Dystrophy initiatives.
St. Marys Director of Emergency Services and Fire Chief Phil West said it’s a chance for residents to come together, enjoy a great meal, and support an important cause, all while engaging with the firefighters who serve their community.
It runs from 8 a.m. until noon. Parking is available in the DCVI lot. Cost is $10 per adult, $5 per child aged five to 12, and children under five eat free. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled and fried eggs, toast, juice, and coffee.
The breakfast coincides with Emergency Preparedness Week May 3–9.
