Free Kayak bookings open at St. Marys Yak Shack

You can paddle your way across St. Marys waterways through free kayaks.

The town announced the Yak Shack is open for the 2026 season.

The shack allows the public to paddle up to five kilometres of river routes, offering views of the downtown, Sarnia Bridge and countryside.

While the kayaking is free, officials ask that you reserve your spot seven days in advance.

Kayaking is recommended for children aged eight and older, and youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

For how to book your spot, head to the Discover St. Marys website.
