Stratford Fire Department were dispatched to a “structure fire” call on Graff Avenue Tuesday night.
Several fire trucks were at the west end of Graff Avenue, near Mornington Street, around 8:30 p.m.
Fire Chief Neil Anderson said there was no structure fire, however, a pot of food was left on an active stove top burner, burning the food, resulting in a lot of smoke.
Fire fighters used a ventilation fan to clear out the smoke from the apartment building.
No injuries were reported.
