Dodgeballers raising funds and awareness for mental health

Dodgeballs will be flying in West Perth in support of men’s mental health.

The third annual Dodge for Dads is tonight at Mitchell District High.

Participants have raised funds for Well Community Collective’s Well Youth Hubs.

Perth-Wellington MP John Nater said as Father’s Day approaches, many men don’t talk about their mental health.

“Men are three times more likely to die by suicide, addiction issues, mental health issues, we need to address that. That’s what tonight’s event is all about.”

He said the tournament will consist of 12 adult and youth teams.

The collective hubs offer outreach and system navigation services to support youth in Huron and Perth counties.

The tournament starts at 6:30 p.m.
