Summer favourite: Downtown Stratford Sidewalk Sale returns this summer

Shopping, prizes, activities, and community fundraising will come together as part of the Downtown Stratford Sidewalk Sale.

The annual event returns July 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In a media release, Downtown Stratford BIA general manager Jamie Pritchard said it has become one of their favorite summer traditions.

“It is a wonderful opportunity to support local businesses, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the downtown, and bring the community together for a fun-filled day. There truly is
something for everyone.”

The event includes downtown exploration, a draw to win Stratford Festival tickets, a Downtown Dollars guessing name contest, free popcorn and temporary tattoos, kids fishing pond, and Jake’s lemonade stand.

The lemonade stand raises funds for Juvenile Arthritis research, which provides support for youth struggling with juvenile idiopathic arthritis, an autoimmune condition where the body attacks the joints causing inflammation, pain and reduced mobility.
