Stratford General Hospital Foundation have announced accreditation under Imagine Canada Standards.

Foundation Executive Director Cheryl Hunt said every donation represents an act of trust and the accreditation reflects the foundation’s commitment to honouring that through the highest standards of accountability, transparency and ethical stewardship, while being dedicated to continuous improvement, transparency, operational excellence and good governance.

An organization receives accreditation by meeting 73 rigorous, sector-informed standards in transparency and governance.

The foundation raises funds to support the hospital’s highest priority needs.

Hunt said the achievement is a credit to staff, volunteers and the board of directors for their commitment to help strengthen healthcare close to home.
