Stratford police remind drivers to obey road closure signs after a motor vehicle collision on a closed roadway.

Officers said the incident was reported at 6:30 a.m. Thursday in a clearly closed off area of Perth Road 113 between Lines 20 and 26.

The driver went around the closure sign on Line 26, and the vehicle collided with a downed tree.

While the driver suffered no injuries, the vehicle’s windshield was smashed and air bags deployed.

The driver was charged with driving on a closed roadway.
