A North American company will bring much-needed upgrades to the Stratford Rotary Complex.
On Monday night, Stratford City Council awarded Cimco Refigeration Inc. the job of replacing the complex’s rooftop units and energy recovery ventilators with modern heat pump units.
City staff say the current units and ventilators at the complex are at the end of their service life, adding repairs have been needed for the last three years.
They say the goal of replacing them is to provide better energy efficiency and lower natural gas consumption by 25 to 40 percent.
Cimco officials say the company supplies environmentally-friendly ice systems across North America.
The total project cost will be $1.89 million including HST.
